The Washington Open Parent Faculty Group (WOPFG) organizes the following fundraising activities. The money is used to support the whole child learning programs that are integral to our school. We strive to select fundraisers that are fun, easy, increase our sense of community, do not require students to sell merchandise and have minimal financial burden to families. Please review the fundraising options below and decide which ones work best for your family.

WOPFG Fundraising Activities
Our annual auction, held every November, is our largest source of fundraising income and a really FUN community event! The success of this event depends upon the donations (cash or new products) from families at the beginning of the school year. Each classroom has auction representatives to help you. If you work for a company that matches school donations, this is an easy way to double your donation!
CORPORATE MATCHING
If the company you work for provides donation matching, request a matching donation to “Washington Open Parent Faculty Group”, for the donations that you made during the auction and/or the school year.
COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING
Community Dining Events:
On selected dates, a local restaurant will donate up to 20% of their sales towards our school. Dates and locations will be announced in the Wednesday bulletin throughout the year.
Used Book Sale:
Once a year, families donate their used books, games, DVDs and videos from home. They are sold in the cafeteria and the proceeds are donated to the school. (Date of the book drop-off and sale will be announced in the Wednesday bulletin.)
Rummage Sale & e-Waste Collection:
Once a year, families donate their gently used clothes, household items, and toys. Treasures abound in these savvy donations in support of our WO children and our greater community! e-Waste is also collected at the sale!
Walk-a-thon, Scholastic Book Faire and more! These fundraisers are managed by Washington Open. Learn more on Washington Open's Fundraising page.

Every valid Box Tops clip is worth 10¢ for your school. Our school earns approximately $300/year. You can also go online at the Box Tops for Education Website and search for Washington Open.
THE NEW BOX TOPS LABELS
Eventually the Box Tops program will become digital-only. Participating brands are starting to change their packaging from a traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Top label.
If you see this label, use the new Box Tops app to scan your receipt. Box Tops are still worth 10¢ each for your school. The app will find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to your school's earnings online.
Now is a great time to label those backpacks, lunch boxes, jackets, etc. Use Mabel's labels and support our school! Every purchase earns for Washington Open. It's very easy. Go to campaigns.mabelslabels.com. Click the Support A Fundraiser button, choose Washington Open Elementary (Santa Clara) and start shopping.
